Work Rights in Canada

Students get plentiful opportunities to work in Canada while they are studying. They can work for 20 hours a week during sessions. However, this is the maximum limit of hours, students can work for a lesser number of hours if they wish to.  During break or vacations, students can work for 40 hours a week. Working for more than these hours is not permitted because it can affect a student’s performance in studies.  Students can work for a lesser number of hours if they find it difficult to maintain a right balance between their work and studies.

Students can easily find jobs because all colleges and universities advertise on-campus job opening on the bulletin boards where students can easily get information. Moreover, there are also similar websites where students can get information about similar job opening.  Working in cafes, restaurants or coffee shops is also a good option of earning some money.
